Chiropractic Treatment
While we do not generally recommend chiropractic treatments, some patients are still keen to explore alternative treatments. If you are considering treatment by a chiropractor, the following link may be helpful:

Chiropractic practice is based largely on the assumption that spinal problems can cause disease by affecting nerve function.
By manipulating the spine frequently, chiropractors often aim to correct “spinal misalignment” or “vertebral subluxation” .
However, the use of sudden thrusts to “adjust” the spine brings about the possibility of further spinal injury, especially when most chiropractors advice patients to undergo a series of frequent “adjustments” over a period of time.
In view of such safety concerns, most doctors in Singapore prefer to prescribe a series of controlled spinal mobilization by trained physiotherapists instead.
By using a series of gentle, passive, oscillatory spinal movements, physiotherapists are often able to much more safely achieve the results claimed by chiropractic treatment.
